To obtain access to PlanUW, please download the Authorization Form found on the Madison Budget Office’s website, complete, and send to planuw-msn-mbo@vc.wisc.edu.

Logging In
PlanUW is Single Sign On (SSO) enabled.
We recommend using the Mozilla Firefox web browser.
Log in to PlanUW
- Click on Company Sign In.
- Enter your UW credentials and click Sign In.
- You will be logged in via SSO.

PlanUW is integrated with multiple UW source systems. The table below outlines those source systems and the frequency data will be pulled from them.

CAT Data Integration
CAT Data Integration
To better assist our users who would benefit from a “live” connection, PlanUW will run an integration with the Compensation Administration Tool (CAT) three times a day which has an average load time of 2-3 minutes.
Integration Times:
- 3:00AM
- 10:00AM
- 2:00PM
In the event you happen to be working in CAT and click “save” as the integration is in the process of running your work will be picked up in the next integration cycle.
Projects Query

Projects Query
Projects Query
The Projects Query is a monthly data pull of new projects created in SFS for the previous month. Starting July 2022, MBO will pull this query on the 1st business day of the month and make it available here. This query will inform and assist users in determining if any of these newly created projects in SFS should be set up in PlanUW for budgeting and forecasting purposes. Please email your project set up request to PlanUW Support before the 10th of the month (i.e. before the prior month data is loaded in PlanUW). Again, projects set up in SFS will not automatically map to PlanUW without action.
